For the lovers of Henrik Ibsen’s masterpiece of theater, Peer Gynt, there is a whole festival of Norway in its honor. The Peer Gynt Festival takes place in August and presents the classic play, along with the music of Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. The epic play follows the young Peer through his adventurous life and the richness of his own dreams and imagination. It’s an odyssey for the soul, only to be found in Norway.
