Wine in Norway

United Kingdom: Wine

So, it’s common knowledge that wine doesn’t grow as well in Norway as it does in France. This is due to climate restrictions. Of course Norway imports all kinds of wine to suit any meal or occasion, but you still must give a try to the Pinot Noir of Norway. The most northerly vineyard in the world is the Hallingstad Vineyard of Norway! The Pinot is appropriately called L’esprit d’Edvard Munch after the famous Norwegian painter. It is described as “lighter than a burgundy and darker than Beaujolais. A surprisingly intense and complex bouquet, dominated by wild raspberries.” Now that sounds like something exciting to try when raising a glass in Norway!
